New features, improvements, and fixes in SeeMore Data. A new entry is published every two weeks.

July 30, 2026

Data sharing visibility

Tables shared into your account via Snowflake data sharing are now first-class citizens in SeeMore Data. Inbound shared tables appear in the catalog with a Shared badge and provider attribution, lineage follows data across accounts for installed shares, and shared-table information is available through the API and MCP tools.

New alert creation wizard

Creating a real-time alert is now a guided, step-by-step flow: pick the assets in scope, define conditions, choose notification channels, and review everything before saving.

Remove auto-clustering recommendations

Waste Reduction now flags tables where auto-clustering isn't paying off — including clustered tables with no usage — with the estimated annual savings of turning it off.

Improvements
  • Moved Burst Protector settings into the Smart Pulse editor.

  • Added Marketplace purchases to the Contract view consumption graphs, with reworked filters and a slider for multi-year selection.

  • Updated cost overview graphs to area charts, with a refreshed chart color palette across the app.

  • Graduated the Query Agent chat out of beta.

  • Improved Smart Pulse schedules to respect each warehouse's query timeout.

  • Added support for API-only service accounts in the Looker integration.

  • Polished the monitoring page: cleaner toolbar and filters, consistent tab names, and tab state preserved when switching between tabs.

Fixes
  • Fixed savings totals differing between the dashboard banner, the savings modal, and the compute table.

Notification Center upgrades

In-app notifications got a full redesign. Toggle which notification types you receive, see an unread count since you last opened the bell, scroll long histories smoothly, and click any notification to jump straight to its target.

Spotlight, everywhere

Spotlight search moved into the side menu and opens with Cmd/Ctrl + G. Cloud-service detail pages are now searchable, and results highlight the matched text.

Cortex Code Desktop support

Cortex Code cost control now covers Cortex Code Desktop, with per-surface cost breakdowns.

Role sync from your identity provider

SCIM group push from your IdP (e.g. Okta or Microsoft Entra ID) can now assign SeeMore user roles automatically.

Improvements
  • Added new MCP tools for real-time compute-unit monitoring, automation on/off status, insights, savings, and Cortex Code cost controls.

  • Redesigned real-time compute-unit tiles, and polished the alerts table and delete dialogs.

  • Added a schedule legend and visual polish to the Smart Pulse editor.

  • Persisted Settings sub-tabs (Preferences, Channels) in the URL for easy sharing.

Fixes
  • Fixed stale per-table storage metrics on the storage breakdown.

Real-time warehouse monitoring page

A dedicated real-time monitoring page shows live warehouse activity and running queries across your fleet.

Tags Management

The new Tags Management settings page lets you define custom object tags with multiple rules per tag, value mapping and regex transforms, scoping, and one-click backfill.
